Mi NoteBook Ultra and Pro: price in India, specs, and sale date

Mi NoteBook Pro and Mi NoteBook Ultra laptops have been unveiled in India today. These are the company’s first set of premium laptops for the Indian market and both laptops pack in features like a high-resolution display, metallic build, a fingerprint sensor, and a built-in webcam. 

The two new premium laptops were unveiled in India at the Xiaomi Smarter living 2022 event along with several other products. Since the RedmiBook laptops took last year’s Mi NoteBook 14’s position with respect to the price band, the new Mi NoteBook Pro and Ultra are priced much higher than last year’s model. 

The company told us these laptops are built after taking feedback from the Mi NoteBook 14 series from 2020. As a result, you are getting an integrated webcam, backlit keyboard, more RAM, and better display.

Xiaomi Mi NoteBook release date and price

Both the Xiaomi Mi NoteBook Pro and Ultra will be available in three variants. Two of these come with Intel Core i5 processor while you also get Core i7 variant. The Mi NoteBook Pro price starts at Rs 56,999 while the Mi Notebook Ultra price starts at Rs 59,999. 

The laptops will go on sale starting August 31 on Amazon, Mi.com, Mi Homes. In terms of offers, you get Rs 4,500 instant discount for i7 variant while you can grab Rs 3,000 instant discount for the Core i5 variants of both laptops. This offers is valid for HDFC band credit card users only.

Mi NoteBook Ultra specs, price, and sale date

The Mi NoteBook Ultra is the company’s flagship product and this is also the first 15-inch Mi laptop in India. It packs in a 15.6-inch IPS display with 3.2K resolution (3,200 x 2,000), 16:10 aspect ratio, 89% screen to body ratio, 300nits brightness and 100% sRGB coverage. It also comes with a 90Hz screen refresh rate 一 making it the cheapest laptop with a high refresh rate screen. Other display features include TUV certification and DC dimming.

In terms of design, the Mi NoteBook Ultra is made up of a series 6 aerospace-grade aluminium alloy with a precision metal cut which gives the laptop a minimalistic yet modern look. The hinge is well balanced and the company says the laptop passed through the one-finger opening test. The laptop also comes with a fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button with Windows Hello support. The Mi NoteBook Ultra weighs 1.7 kgs and is just 17.9mm thick. 

In terms of performance, the Mi NoteBook Ultra is powered by an Intel Core H35 series processor and comes in i5 (11300H) and i7 (11370H) variants with Intel Iris Xe graphics, up to 16GB RAM and 512GB NVMe SSD. 

The machine now comes with a 3-level backlit full-sized keyboard (no numpad though) and 1.5mm key travel. There is also a macro key that can be customized to open any app of your choice. The trackpad is also fairly large with a 100cm square area and comes with support for Windows 10 gestures. There is also a 720p HD webcam with a mic. 

You get a Thunderbolt 4 port for connectivity as well as charging. Other options include USB 3.2 Gen 1, an HDMI port, Type-C, USB 2.0, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Other features include Windows 10 Home OS, MS Office 2019 suite, dial heat pipes, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, 12 hours battery with 70Whr battery and fast charging.

The Mi NoteBook 14 is a more affordable and compact of the two with a 14-inch 2.5K resolution screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 100% sRGB coverage and a 60Hz refresh rate. The machine is said to last up to 11 hours with its 66Whr battery unit. There is also fast charging which can fuel up the laptop up to 50% in just 34 minutes. 

The MiNoteBook Pro weighs 1.4 kgs and measures 17.3mm. The rest of the specs remain the same as the Ultra variant including the configuration, hardware, connectivity, and OS.
