3. How Walmart restocks work: don’t give up

Keep refreshing and keep trying to hammer that Add to cart button. You will see it go out of stock three or four times once every 10 to 15 minutes. It’ll suddenly say the PS5 will be back in stock at 3:10pm. Don’t take that first delay as an answer. But refresh more often than the 10 to 15 minute intervals.

Try multiple devices: phone, tablet, several browsers – both the mobile app and the web have had different results for people. Persistence and variety will help.

Basically, refresh the website, tap add to cart, refresh, add to cart until it actually goes in. If it’s sold out, keep trying, as it’ll comes back in waves.

We sent out an instant alert about the Amazon PS5 restock via our Twitter tracker, and we plan to do the same for Walmart today. Amazon on Wednesday had the console in stock – it had been 15 days since the retailer had new PS5 stock and it’s the easiest retailer to check out from, so it went out of stock in about two minutes.

Remember, the time and date for restock is never truly known. These big box stores in America do gravitate toward launching new stock during the same time window, though, according to our PS5 restock Twitter tracker.

Through Twitter, we’re tracking the next PS5 stock from more than 12 sources, and we’ve seen a few PS5 consoles pop up over the last week and, even better news, high success rates for people who have been looking for restock for months.

Even if you don’t get to buy the console today, there may be a PS5 drop any one of the days in the upcoming week.
